Each year, the “Rollins School of Public Health” in Atlanta commissions artists to create a wall of posters addressing a public health issue, such as obesity, hand washing, STI’s etc.
This poster was one of many that addressing the issue of Mental Illness. When people think of mental illness, quite often they think of serial killers, or crazies from the movies. But most people don’t realize that they encounter people with mental illness on a daily basis. Most people who suffer from mental illness appear to be very normal in many ways. They are every day people who look, act, and have feelings just like we all do! This was the driving idea behind my poster.
