The Wonderful Things the Mail Man Brings
Children’s Book- Fluid Acrylics, Gouache, Prismacolor pencils, on Bristol board
When I was a toddler, my mom and dad said I used to love books, especially rhyming ones.
I begged them to read the same stories over and over and over, and could quote many of them word for word. Consequently, my parents were always bringing home new books.
Since my dad was such a natural poet, my mom often told him that he could easily write verse for a good children’s book. On a whim, he created the title “The Wonderful Things the Mailman Brings.” but never finished the story. Many years later, I was thrilled and honored to revive my father’s dormant idea, inspiring him to pick up the idea again. His story coupled with my illustration brought this sweet story to life.
